What is bldrExpert
bldrExpert connects you with on-demand, verified specialists who complete specific tasks on your app. Learn what bldrExpert is, who bldrExperts are, and what kinds of tasks they handle.
What is bldrExpert?
bldrExpert is bldrAgent's on-demand specialist service. It connects you with verified, platform-certified individuals who complete specific, well-defined tasks on your app — quickly, affordably, and with quality guaranteed.
bldrExpert is different from hiring a bldrDeveloper. A bldrDeveloper takes on larger, project-level engagements. A bldrExpert handles a specific, scoped task — a single integration, a database fix, a design polish pass, a form that isn't submitting correctly.
Think of bldrExpert as having a specialist on call. You describe the task, post it, and a verified Worker picks it up and delivers.
Who are bldrExperts?
bldrExperts are verified professionals who have passed bldrAgent's Worker certification. The certification process includes:
- A technical assessment covering the bldrAgent platform
- Demonstration of at least 3 completed app builds
- Identity verification
- Agreement to bldrAgent's Worker Code of Conduct
Every bldrExpert has a public profile showing:
- Their specialisations (e.g. integrations, data design, UI polish, mobile)
- Verified task history and completion rate
- Star ratings and written reviews from previous clients
- Average turnaround time
- Current availability status
You can browse Worker profiles at /hire-a-worker before posting a task, or let bldrAgent automatically match your task to the best available Worker.
What tasks bldrExperts handle
bldrExpert is designed for specific, bounded tasks — not open-ended projects. Good tasks have a clear start, a clear deliverable, and a reasonable scope.
Examples of well-suited tasks
| Task type | Example |
|---|---|
| Integration | Connect my app to Stripe and set up a checkout flow |
| Data & database | Design the data model for a multi-tenant SaaS product |
| Bug fix | The user registration form is not sending confirmation emails |
| UI polish | Restyle the dashboard cards to match our updated brand guide |
| Performance | The listings page loads slowly on mobile — diagnose and fix |
| Mobile | Configure our app for iOS and Android publishing |
| Form logic | Build a multi-step quote form with conditional fields |
| Automation | Set up an email nurture sequence triggered by user signup |
| Accessibility | Audit the app against WCAG 2.1 AA and fix flagged issues |
| SEO | Implement meta tags, sitemaps, and structured data across all pages |
Tasks that are NOT a good fit for bldrExpert
- Full app builds from scratch (→ use bldrDeveloper)
- Open-ended consulting or strategy work
- Tasks with no defined deliverable
- Ongoing maintenance retainers
If you're unsure whether your task fits bldrExpert, post it anyway. Workers can ask clarifying questions before accepting, and our team reviews all postings.
bldrExpert vs. bldrDeveloper: which do I need?
| bldrExpert | bldrDeveloper | |
|---|---|---|
| Task scope | Single, well-defined task | Full project or ongoing engagement |
| Turnaround | Hours to a few days | Weeks to months |
| How you hire | Post a task | Submit a project brief and get matched |
| Pricing | Fixed task rate | Fixed project or milestone |
| Best for | Quick fixes, specific features, integrations | New builds, complex apps, ongoing work |
bldrExpert quality standards
Every Worker on the platform is subject to ongoing quality monitoring:
- Rating system — rate your Worker after every completed task
- Completion rate tracking — Workers who miss deadlines or abandon tasks lose standing
- Quality reviews — bldrAgent periodically reviews disputed or low-rated tasks
- Escalation — if a task isn't delivered to standard, the Resolution Center handles it (see bldrExpert Resolution Center)
