Deleting user data
How to delete your own account, your app's user data, and how to handle right-to-erasure requests from your users.
Data deletion in bldrAgent
bldrAgent supports data deletion at multiple levels:
- Deleting your own bldrAgent account
- Deleting your app and its data
- Handling end-user deletion requests for apps you've built
Deleting your bldrAgent account
To permanently delete your personal account:
- Go to Profile Settings → Security → Delete account
- Read the consequences summary carefully
- Type your email address to confirm
- Click Delete my account permanently
What happens:
- Your account is deleted within 24 hours
- Your personal data (name, email, profile) is removed from bldrAgent's systems
- If you are the sole owner of a workspace, that workspace and all its apps are also deleted
- If you are a member (not owner) of other workspaces, you are removed as a member but those workspaces are not affected
Deleting an app and its data
To delete a specific app:
- Open the dashboard
- Click ··· on the app card
- Select Delete
- Type the app name to confirm
What is deleted:
- All app screens, components, and configuration
- The entire app database (all records)
- Uploaded media files associated with the app
- Custom domain configuration (domain ownership is not affected)
This action is irreversible. Export your data first if you need it.
Handling right-to-erasure requests from your users
If you've built an app with user accounts on bldrAgent, your users have the right to request deletion of their data (under GDPR Article 17 and similar regulations).
Manual deletion (any plan)
- Open Data → Users in the editor
- Search for the user by email
- Click the user record
- Select Delete record and confirm
This removes the user record and can cascade-delete related records (orders, profiles, etc.) depending on your schema configuration.
Automated deletion (recommended)
Ask the AI to build a self-service data deletion flow:
"Add a 'Delete my account' option in the user settings page. When a user confirms, delete their account record, all their orders, and any content they've created. Send them a confirmation email. The deletion should be irreversible."
Data retention periods
bldrAgent retains your workspace data for 30 days after workspace deletion before permanently purging it from backups. This allows recovery in case of accidental deletion.
If you need immediate purge from backups (e.g. for a legal obligation), contact privacy@bldr.app with your request and the reason.
Data export before deletion
Always export important data before deleting. From the Data panel, export any table to CSV at any time. See Managing app data for export instructions.
